Skills on your Resume

The skill section of your resume is a great place to highlight your strengths and it gives you another opportunity to focus your resume.  Again, this section should be factual!  There should not be any areas of your resume that are just meaningless buzzwords.

The skill section of your resume can include software and programs that you are comfortable with, how many WPM you can type (if 50 and above, otherwise do not include), specific industry knowledge or skills (i.e. - medical terminology or reviewing budgets and revenue statements).

This section is best when it's in bullets, not paragraphs.  It should typically be at the top of your resume, under your Summary of Qualifications or Education sections.
